Alan Herjavec, Member of the Management Board of HBOR participated in the conference Next Level Croatia – Regional Development of Croatia
Within the framework of the conference „Next Level Croatia - Regional Development“, Alan Herjavec, Member of the Management Board of HBOR participated in the panel „Strategies and Regions: Business Models - Superheroes of Development“. The conference was held in Zagreb on 3 June 2024 and was organised by the media company Bloomberg Adria.
Alan Herjavec emphasised that the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development had been oriented towards financing of projects contributing to economic, social and regional development from its establishment. He announced a new financial instrument - Urban Development Fund intended for investments of public sector entities.
"Urban Development Fund is a financial instrument that has a structure in the sense of combination of a loan and a grant in the form of a capital discount that can be up to 50 percent of the total loan amount. It is a very attractive product that enables for the first time that public infrastructure projects are enriched by the EU funds with commercial contents that generate income from charging user services", said Alan Herjavec.
Along with Alan Herjavec, the participants in the panel were Nataša Mikuš Žigman, Director of the Business Sustainability and Green Transformation Sector of Podravka, Marko Ćosić, President of the Management Board of Đuro Đaković, Ivan Čulo, Chief Executive Officer of Hrvatska pošta and Nikola Mikša, Member of the Management Board of OTP banka in charge of finance division.
