Cooperation between HBOR and the Development Bank of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Strengthening regional ties through exchange of knowledge and expertise
On 24 September 2024, a working meeting tok place in Zagreb between the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) and the Development Bank of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RBFBIH).
Hrvoje Čuvalo, President of the Management Board of HBOR, welcomed the guests from Sarajevo and stressed the importance of exchanging knowledge and experience between related institutions.
"HBOR, with its many years of experience in development and lending, is happy to transfer its knowledge to institutions like RBFBIH, all with the aim of promoting economic development and cooperation," said Čuvalo.
The meeting was attended by experts in various fields, including lending, internal audit and risk management. HBOR’s representatives presented their experiences in these segments, providing insight into their processes and practices. Experts from both institutions held bilateral meetings, during which they exchanged ideas about future cooperation in the region.
Borislav Trlin, acting President of the RBFBIH Management Board, emphasised the importance of the support provided by HBOR, especially in the context of RBFBIH's accession to ELTI and EAPB associations, which would further improve financial cooperation and integration into European development projects.
At the meeting, it was concluded that such working visits were extremely important for further cooperation, and it was agreed that similar meetings would be regularly organised in the future, which would further strengthen the relationship between HBOR and RBFBIH.
The participants in the meeting pointed out that such meetings, aimed at exchanging best practices and strengthening institutional ties, were crucial for regional development and financial stability.
