HBOR Delegation of the Republic of Croatia at the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)

The delegation of the Republic of Croatia participated in the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that took place in Yerevan, Armenia from 14 to 16 May. Beside the members of the Management Board of HBOR, Mr. Josip Pavković and Mr. Alan Herjavec, the delegation consisted of the representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Croatian National Bank, the Croatian Employers' Association, the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian Post Bank.
 
At the 2024 Annual Meeting, the President of the EBRD was elected. The agenda of the Annual Meeting included, among other things, the adoption of the Annual Report and the Financial Statements for 2023, the discussion on the implementation of the current and the preparation of the new EBRD’s 2026-2030 Strategic and Capital Framework, and the decisions on the accession of new members.
 
As part of the Annual Meeting, the EBRD also organised the traditional Business Forum for its guests, during which a series of panel discussions and presentations of economic and business opportunities in individual countries were held.
 
The EBRD is an international financial institution that, in accordance with its mandate, is focused on supporting the development and growth of the private sector. The Republic of Croatia became a full member of the EBRD on 15 April 1993. The total value of the EBRD's investments in Croatia from 1994 to the end of February 2024 amounts to EUR 4.73 billion used or being used for the financing of 248 projects. About 65% of the portfolio relates to the private sector.
