HBOR has been awarded the basic MAMFORCE© Standard for Family Responsibility and Gender Equality in Management Policy. The Standard is awarded under the project called “In Pursuit of Full Equality between Men and Women: Harmonization of Private and Business Life” financed by the European Union. The objective of the project is to provide support for organisations when changing attitudes, to identify stereotypes and to introduce new forms of organisation through focusing on the significance of implementing measures aimed at harmonising private and business obligations as well as to enable gender equality with regard to career development and promotion.

Equal opportunities for professional development and promotion

“For 25 years, HBOR has been successfully operating owing to expertise and high professional standards of its employees, which would not have been possible to attain without the harmonisation of private and business life. Joining of the MAMFORCE project helped us highlight practices already implemented at HBOR contributing to a good work atmosphere and to further develop such practices,” stressed the representative of HBOR. MAMFORCE Standard is awarded to organisations that successfully organise their activities and working environment by simultaneously respecting the principles of harmonised professional and private life and equal opportunities for professional development and promotion.

Possibilities for further improvements

Organisations are included in independent evaluation processes of management policies and working practices in order to be attributed measurable indicators of their systems with regard to the market and the best practices. On the basis of evaluation, every organisation is given concrete suggestions for further improvements that are to be implemented in the coming 12-month period. After the implementation of the suggestions and the audit of the very implementation, a full MAMFORCE COMPANY Standard can be achieved that is retained for two years until the next evaluation. The project implementing entity is the Office of Ombudswoman for Gender Equality of the Republic of Croatia, and, on this occasion, the MAMFORCE Standard was, besides to HBOR, awarded also to the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) and the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP).
